Summary/Objective:

Provides excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders. Makes pick-ups as necessary. Performs all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Arrive to work on time for scheduled shift and in uniform supplied by employer.
• Load and deliver all orders designated for deliver each day.
• Complete deliveries in a safe and timely manner
• Records amount delivered and issues tickets to customers.
• Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips and submit a written report on the condition of the truck at the end of each trip or tour of duty.
• Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather and in or out of tight areas.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including drivers record of duty status, mileage records, and other records required by law.
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
• Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
• Report highway safety hazards noted while in route.
• Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies, or in the event of irregularities relating to pick up or delivery.
• Perform required before-, during- and after-operation user maintenance and provide required reports.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
• Maintain all required certifications, including a CDL with hazardous material certification
• Assist with in warehouse with stocking inventory, loading and unloading product, and cleaning.

Minimum Driver Qualifications:

CDL Class A or B, Air Brake & Hazmat Endorsements - Able to pass DOT physical and drug screen
No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
No DUIs, DWIs, or reckless driving violations in the past 7 years
No positive or refused drug or alcohol tests in the past 3 years

Required license or certification:
CDL Class A, B, or C with Hazmat Endorsements - No Hazmat Endorsement, not a problem! We will reimburse the cost to obtain one, just bring your receipt with you to orientation and we will take care of the rest!
